Can I use acetone to remove CA glue from TUSQ material?Updated 4 months ago
Yes, acetone can be safely used to remove cyanoacrylate (CA) glue residues from TUSQ material without damaging it. However, we do recommend using a white wood glue. like Elmers, when installing any nut. Cyanoacrylate (CA) can bond too tightly with the wood and take a bit of wood out of the nut slot when removing it. TUSQ is resistant to the solvent properties of acetone, making it safe for cleaning purposes during and after sanding, etc. Always handle chemicals like acetone with care, using appropriate protective gear and working in a well-ventilated area.
