What type of glue should I use for bonding Graph Tech materials to wood?Updated 4 months ago
For holding a Graph Tech nut in place, use a thin coat of white wood glue, such as Elmers. Using a cyanoacrylate glue, like super glue, can cause some damaged if you every wanted to change out the nut in the future, as it may take a bit of the wood in the nut slot out when removing the nut.It is important to apply the glue a thin coat on the bottom of the nut to avoid excess spillage and ensure a clean install. For acoustic saddles, don't want to glue it in, just sand the sides until is sits snug in the saddle slot, just enough so it doesn't fall out when you turn the guitar over.
